چکیده

Ambient backscatter communication (AmBC) is an emerging technology enabling green Internet of Things deployments. The widespread acceptance this paradigm limited by the low signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) signal impinging on receiver antenna due to strong direct path interference and unknown ambient signal. adverse impact these two factors can be mitigated using noncoherent multiantenna receivers, which are known require a higher SINR reach bit-error-rate (BER) performance coherent receivers. However, considering signal, location AmBC tags, varying channel conditions, receivers for systems rarely studied in literature. In article, receiver, requires no prior information decoding binary-phase-shift-keying (BPSK) modulated presented. proposed compared with ideal that has perfect phase information, also assumes distributions offset caused excess length path. Comparative simulation results show designed achieve same BER 1-dB more SINR, corresponds 5-dB or gain respect reception on-off-keying signals. Variation detection tag shows coverage area close vicinity transmitter larger region around consistent theoretical results.

A parameter estimation algorithm for LFM/BPSK hybrid modulated signal intercepted by Nyquist folding receiver

Nyquist folding receiver (NYFR) is a novel ultra-wideband receiver architecture which can realize wideband receiving with a small amount of equipment. Linear frequency modulated/binary phase shift keying (LFM/BPSK) hybrid modulated signal is a novel kind of low probability interception signal with wide bandwidth. The NYFR is an effective architecture to intercept the LFM/BPSK signal and the LFM...

Error-free transmission of microring-modulated BPSK.

We demonstrate the generation of error-free binary-phase-shift-keyed (BPSK) data at 5 Gb/s using a silicon microring modulator. The microring-modulated BPSK signal is propagated at fiber lengths up to 80 km, maintaining error-free performance, while demonstrating resilience to chromatic dispersion. Bit-error-rate measurements and eye diagrams show near equivalent performance of a microring-base...

BackFi: High Throughput Ambient Backscatter – Public Review

The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to connect billions of intelligent devices in everyday life. These smart devices are usually small and run with very limited power source (tiny batteries or even without a battery, i.e., using power harvesting technologies), but required to operate for a long time. Therefore, the wireless connectivity between the IoT devices and the Internet should be extre...

Achievable information rates of ambient backscatter communications

Ambient backscatter is an intriguing wireless communication paradigm that allows small devices to compute and communicate by using only the power they harvest from radio-frequency (RF) signals in the air. Ambient backscattering devices reflect existing RF signals emitted by legacy communications systems, such as digital TV broadcasting, cellular or Wi-Fi ones, which would be otherwise treated a...
